Explore a MASSIVE persistent universe where you can discover 900,000 stars, each with its own solar system, and over 4 million planets. This full 3D universe allows you to fly your starship to any part of the galaxy and to any planet. You can even fly down through the atmosphere of MASSIVE planets to see their detailed terrain, including oceans with animated water and reflections. The solar systems are so huge that there is a time-scale applied to make it easier to travel between planets, but you can turn it off if you want to experience real-time flight (although it may take hours to reach a planet).
As you explore, you can collect beacons on the planet surface by flying through the beams. These beacons offer missions, points, credits, minerals, and possibly fuel. If you collect all the beacons on a planet, you can earn extra points and credits. Additionally, if you own starbases, you can dock with them to collect profits and increase your wealth. You can even colonize planets and build a fleet to invade and take over other colonized planets, building your own empire. If you enjoy No Man's Sky, you may find this game to be similar, as it is inspired by it.
One unique aspect of this game is that there are no pirates to worry about. Your mission is one of peace, to map the galaxy for habitable planets that can be colonized. You can fly to any star you see in your view and explore its solar system without fear of being attacked. The universe is persistent, meaning that all discovered stars and planets are cataloged on the galactic server and remembered. You can come back to the game after days, weeks, or even months to see how the universe has changed. Other players will also see the stars you have discovered, and you can see theirs.
Your role as a starship captain is to explore and map the galaxy for the IGDB (Intergalactic Database). You can use your local and galaxy map to help you accomplish your mission, or you can simply fly by the seat of your pants. Your ranking in the game is based on how many stars and planets you discover, with habitable planets being worth more points. If you come across planets with intelligent or advanced life, you can earn even more points. There are also multiple Game Center leaderboards to compete on.
