Metal Sonic and Dr. Eggman have joined forces to build a new Death Egg around Little Planet. It's up to Sonic and his sidekick to stop them and take down the Death Egg mk.II. This sequel to the classic Sonic game, released in 2012, features enhanced gameplay, five unique Zones, and a soundtrack by Jun Senoue.
In addition to the main game, this release also includes a bonus set of stages called Episode Metal, where players can control Metal Sonic through challenging versions of Zones from the first episode. Completing these stages reveals the full story behind Sonic The Hedgehog 4.
Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode II is part of the SEGA Forever collection, which offers added features such as leaderboards, cloud saves, and controller support. The game is available for free on the App Store for iPhone and iPad, with the option to remove ads for a one-time in-app purchase.
The game features five Zones and seven bosses for players to conquer as Sonic and Tails. They can also play as Metal Sonic in Episode Metal, unlock Super Sonic by completing all the Special Stages, and team up with Tails to perform special combos.
SEGA Forever also offers players the option to save their progress, compete with others on leaderboards, and use MFi compatible controllers. The game also includes trivia about its development and references to previous Sonic games.
Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode II was first released in 2012 and was developed by Sonic Team and Dimps. The lead programmer was Koji Okugawa.
