In this game, you will play as a Devil Downloader, also known as a Dx2. As a Dx2, you have the ability to summon and control demons using a special smartphone app. You are recruited by a mysterious man to join the Liberators, a secret organization that fights against the Acolytes, a group of Dx2s who use their powers for chaos and are targeting people with high empathy quotients (EQ).

The game features classic gameplay elements such as summoning and fusing demons, as well as a press turn battle system. You can collect, enhance, and evolve demons to customize your party and use different tactics to defeat your opponents. With over 160 unique demons from the original series and high quality 3D graphics, the demons come to life like never before. Each demon has its own set of skills, and you can transfer skills between demons to take advantage of their strengths in battles.

The game also has an augmented reality mode where you can view demons in 360-degrees and even take pictures with them. It is optimized for mobile devices with new game elements such as enhancing, evolving, and awakening different archetypes to form a strong party. The battle assist feature allows you to help other players in battles and receive help from them as well. There is also an auto-battle and speed up mode for more efficient gameplay.

The game offers hours of fun with its deep JRPG storytelling set in modern Tokyo, including popular locations like Akihabara, Shinjuku, and Kudanshita.
