In this game, you will take on the role of a Devil Downloader, also known as a Dx2. As a Dx2, you have the ability to summon and command demons using a special smartphone app. This app is given to you by a mysterious man, and you become a member of the Liberators, a secret organization that fights against the Acolytes, an opposing faction of Dx2s. The Acolytes are using their demon-summoning abilities to cause chaos and eliminate people with high empathy quotients (EQ) who stand in their way.

The gameplay is classic and involves summoning and fusing new demons, as well as using a press turn battle system. You can also collect, enhance, and evolve demons to customize your party and use different tactics to defeat your opponents. With over 160 unique demons from the original series and high-quality 3D graphics, the demons come to life like never before. Each demon has its own skills, and you can transfer skills between demons to take advantage of their strengths in battles.

The game is also augmented reality ready, allowing you to view demons in 360-degrees and even pose and take pictures with them. It is optimized for mobile devices and includes new game elements such as enhancing, evolving, and awakening different archetypes to form a formidable party. The battle assist feature allows you to help other players in battle and receive help from them as well. There is also an auto-battle and speed up mode for more efficient gameplay.
