Scythe: Digital Edition

Scythe: Digital Edition is a mobile version of an award-winning strategy board game that allows 1-5 players to compete against each other. With DLC, the game can accommodate up to 7 players. Set in an alternate reality in 1920s Europe, the game features mechs and requires players to divide and conquer in order to achieve victory. Each player takes on the role of a commander of a chosen faction and must use their skills to outwit their opponents in this 4X tabletop game.

One of the key features of Scythe: Digital Edition is the ability to choose from seven different factions, each with their own unique abilities and gameplay styles. These factions include the Saxony Empire, Crimean Khanate, Rusviet Union, Polania Republic, Nordic Kingdom, Clan Albion, and Togawa Shogunate. Players can also select a specialty for their faction, such as agriculturalist, industrialist, engineer, patriot, or mechanic, which adds an extra layer of strategy to the game.

The game utilizes 4X mechanics, which stands for "explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate." Players must explore the land surrounding the Factory, claim new territories, and gather resources to upgrade their buildings. They can then choose to either eliminate their opponents or dominate the game economically. This allows for a variety of different playstyles and strategies.

Scythe: Digital Edition also offers asymmetric gameplay, meaning that each player starts the game with different resources, starting locations, and secret objectives. This adds an element of unpredictability and encourages players to experiment with different tactics. The game is played in a turn-based style, where players must move around the board, recruit units, and engage in battles to rise to the top.

In addition to playing against AI opponents, players can also compete against each other in hot-seat mode or online multiplayer. The game offers the option to adjust the mats to suit each player's preferences and also includes three levels of AI difficulty. Players can also purchase additional factions, such as Clan Albion and Togawa Shogunate, through the in-game store via the DLC Invaders from Afar.
