More About Papers, Please

A dystopian document thriller.The award-winning, critically-acclaimed border inspector game.

Congratulations! You have been selected in the October labor lottery. This means that you and your family will be provided with an apartment in East Grestin, a Class-8 dwelling. To begin your new job, you must report to the Ministry of Admission at the Grestin Border Checkpoint. This is an important role, as you will be responsible for controlling the flow of people entering the communist state of Arstotzka from neighboring Kolechia. However, be aware that among the immigrants and visitors, there may be smugglers, spies, and terrorists trying to enter the country. Your job is to use the provided documents and inspection tools to determine who can enter and who will be turned away or arrested. All of this is done in the name of "Glory to Arstotzka."

The game has received numerous awards and recognition, including being named the Best Game of 2013 by The New Yorker and Wired Magazine, as well as being recognized as the Top Indie Game of 2013 by Forbes Magazine. It has also won the Best Strategy & Simulation Game at the BAFTA awards and the Grand Prize at the Independent Games Festival. The game has been praised for its design and narrative, winning Excellence in Design and Excellence in Narrative at the IGF 2014 awards. It has also received the GameCity Prize, Cultural Innovation Award at SXSW, and the Innovation Award at the GDCA. It has been named the Best PC Game by LARA Game Awards and has been recognized for its innovation and gameplay by Games For Change. It has also been named the Best Game of 2013 by Ars Technica, PC World, and Destructoid, as well as receiving awards for its story from Destructoid.

The game is set in the communist state of Arstotzka, which has just ended a 6-year war with Kolechia and reclaimed its half of the border town, Grestin. As an immigration inspector, you must use the Ministry of Admission's primitive tools to determine who can enter the country and who will be turned away or arrested. This includes inspecting documents, searching for contraband, and taking fingerprints. The game features 31 days and 20 different endings, providing a unique and challenging experience each time you play.

The game also includes additional features such as multitouch support for faster paperwork, an enhanced inspection mode, Game Center achievements and leaderboards, and the ability to resume mid-day. However, be warned that the game contains mature themes, non-photographic nudity, and brief moments of pixelated violence. These elements are important to the game's narrative and add to the overall experience.
