The game also features different path actions for character interactions, such as "Inquire" for information, "Entreat" for items, and "Hire" for party members, providing endless possibilities for gameplay.

The soundtrack for OCTOPATH TRAVELER: Champions of the Continent is composed by Yasunori Nishiki, who also composed the music for the original OCTOPATH TRAVELER game. The game's story takes place a few years before the events of the original game, where Orsterra is ruled by tyrants who are hungry for wealth, power, and fame. As players travel the world as the "Chosen Ones", they will encounter resistance against the darkness unleashed by the tyrants.
