IFR Flight Simulator

This application is designed to help pilots and student pilots improve their skills in instrument flight rules (IFR) by providing a realistic flight simulator experience. It can be used to practice holdings, intercepts, and IFR approaches at any location and at any time. The simulator includes a modern cockpit interface and realistic flight physics to enhance the training experience. It also has a large database of over 5000 airports and 11000 navigation aids, making it a comprehensive tool for IFR training.

In order to use this application, users should have a basic understanding of instrument flight rules. Once in the simulator, users can select from a variety of approaches, including ILS, at over 5000 airports. They can also generate randomized holdings and practice entry procedures, wind correction angles, and timings. The simulator allows for VOR, VOR-DME, and NDB holdings, and users can review their flown track on a map.

The application also includes an intercept trainer, which generates randomized intercept situations for users to practice. This helps users figure out the correct heading for in- and outbound intercepts. As with the holdings trainer, users can review their flown track on a map.
