Fantasy Startup

This course is designed to introduce people of all ages and net worth to the world of entrepreneurial investing. By completing the course and meeting certain requirements, participants can become certified as Level 1 Startup Investors. This certification is the first step towards being able to invest in startups, with minimum investments as low as $1.00. Studies have shown that having some exposure to this asset class, up to 10% of one's net worth, can help create long-term wealth.

Upon starting the course, participants will receive $10,000 in their virtual wallet. Throughout the game, they will be presented with up to 50 startup investment opportunities. Each opportunity will be evaluated based on five categories: Market Size, Team, Signals, Valuation, and Risks. Participants will have five minutes to decide whether to invest or pass on each opportunity. If they pass, they will not have another chance to invest in that particular startup. If they choose to invest, they may have the opportunity to continue investing as the startup grows and raises more capital.

The progress of participants' investments will be tracked in their portfolio. Each day of the course represents one year in the life of the startup. For example, if a startup exits three years after the first investment in the real world, the same timeline will be followed in the game.

Some other important features of the course include:

• All of the startup stories featured in the 2021-22 version are real and have completed their life cycles, either through an exit or failure.
• Startups will either fail or have a successful exit, such as an IPO or acquisition. It is up to the participants to determine which startups have the greatest potential.
• The course includes 150 micro-lessons on the startup investing economy. Participants will need to complete 50 quiz questions in order to earn all 50 startup investment opportunities.
• Participants can invite friends to take the course and compare scores.

To become certified, participants must invest in at least 25 startups and achieve a 3X return multiple on their investments. For example, if a participant invests a total of $10,000, they must receive a return of $30,000 by the end of the course.
