The game, Dark Lord, is set in a world that has been destroyed by the Dark Lord. The survivors are now in a desperate situation and must fight for their survival. The game is divided into five missions, each with its own unique objective. The first mission is to rebuild the destroyed town, followed by raising strong hunters to fight against the monsters. The third mission is to seek revenge and march towards the Dark Lord's stronghold. The fourth mission involves going on a journey with the Explorer to discover a new world. Finally, the fifth mission is to gather elite hunters and fight on behalf of the guild on the Battlefield of Victory.

The player takes on the role of the Town Chief and is responsible for everything related to the town, including construction, crafting, selling, and training hunters. The player must build facilities such as the Infirmary, Restaurant, Tavern, Inn, Blacksmith, and Weapon Shop to provide a place for hunters to stay and use. These facilities are essential for the growth and development of the hunters.

The hunters who visit the town come in four different classes, and their tier and characteristics are random. The player can also invite top-tier hunters by using items. The stronger the hunters, the stronger the town becomes. The player can use the facilities in the town to train and enhance the hunters, making them more powerful. The Bounty Hut gives hunters quests to hunt monsters, providing extra experience and items. The Academy allows the player to teach hunters new skills and secret techniques. The Enhancement Forge allows the player to modify and improve the hunters' equipment. The Training Ground helps the hunters level up quickly, and the Sanctuary of Resurrection allows for endless reincarnation, making the hunters even stronger.

Aside from the town, there are various other contents in the game. The player can travel to dungeons to find rare materials and treasures. They can also summon and defeat powerful bosses in the Field Boss mode. In PVP mode, players can battle against other town's hunters and become the last one standing.

The game also has new updates, including the Darkness Front Yard, where players can fight against the Dark Lord's forces in just 10 minutes. The Guild Raid mode features a massive boss raid, and players can join forces with guild members from all over the world in the Guild Reinforcements mode. The Battlefield of Victory allows the top 10 hunters in the guild to come together and create the best guild possible.
